We're thrilled to announce that, thanks to support from the Mellon Foundation, we've awarded nineteen inaugural MLA Pathways Step Grants! Grants provide up to $10,000 for projects that bolster the recruitment, retention, and career readiness of undergraduates. The selected projects, which come from across the United States, introduce humanities students to an array of professions. The MLA-CCCC Task Force on Writing and AI has just published its second working paper, which provides guidance on developing policy for generative AI and offers example scenarios to help inform higher ed policymakers about the most important considerations for setting policies.
