MLA Professional Development Grants

The Modern Language Association offers $1,000 grants to part-time faculty members to help pay for expenses associated with professional development. Grants are awarded twice yearly by lottery. The fall application cycle is open until 1 October. Learn more and apply.

Free Online Research Course for Students

Know a student conducting research this fall? Tell them about the MLA Bibliography's free online course, which teaches students how to use the bibliography for college-level research. Students earn a badge when they complete a module and when they complete the course.

MLA Commons to Host CORE Deposit Party

From 26 to 30 July, MLA members are encouraged to share materials on remote teaching in the CORE repository and to participate in discussions in the Teaching Remotely group

Propose a Special Feature for PMLA

The editorial board of PMLA invites MLA members to submit proposals for special features in the journal. Submissions are due 15 October. Learn more.
