Authors, editors, and publishers are invited to submit entries for MLA awards for outstanding work in languages, literatures, interdisciplinary studies, biography, and translation. The deadline for two prizes—the James Russell Lowell Prize and the MLA Prize for a First Book—is 1 March.

Submit a Call for Papers for MLA 2025

The presidential theme for the 2025 convention in New Orleans is Visibility. Dana A. Williams, president of the MLA, invites you to submit a call for papers on one of the many topics that the theme might inspire. Submit your call by 28 February!

Apply for MLA Bibliography Fellowships

The MLA seeks scholars who are interested in training as field bibliography fellows. Fellows will receive a stipend and a completion certificate. Members may apply by 1 April.
