MLA 2023 Presidential Theme 

The presidential theme for the 2023 convention in San Francisco is Working Conditions. Christopher Newfield, president of the MLA, invites you to submit a call for papers on one of the many topics that the theme might inspire. Submit your call by 28 February!

Take the MLA Inclusive Language Survey

The ninth edition of the MLA Handbook includes a brief chapter on the principles of inclusive language. The MLA now seeks members’ input to further develop these guidelines and to formulate additional recommendations on using and teaching inclusive language in the humanities.

Professional Development Grants Awarded
